A healthy and nutritious homemade smoothie


In Care2 website, there is a good article about Chia seeds health benefits. It seems to be quite expensive. The article said it will cost $20 for a pound.

Hurray! I was able to get a pound of organic raw Chia seeds at Whole Food Market yesterday for $11.99.So today I just made right away a healthy and delicious homemade blueberry smoothie. It is easy to make, cheap and delicious!

Do you want to give a try? In a blender, add 2 cups of blueberries, 2 cups of non-dairy frozen yogurt, 1 1/2 cups almond milk, 2 tbsp ground golden flaxseed, 2 tbsp chia seeds... and voila! Why buying all those already made at the market with additives, preservatives, colorants, etc, etc? Luckily, I don't have sweet teeth but you can add sugar or maple syrup.
