Apple bread

This is another bread is for your afternoon tea or coffee. I replace the original recipe with rolled oat to make it nutritious.


•    1 cup almonds or cashews
•    2 cups whole wheat flour
•    1 tbsp baking powder
•    1 apple cut in four pieces and sliced
•    1/2 cup applesauce
•    1 tsp vanilla extract
•    1 large banana

    1 cup non-dairy milk
•    ½ cup black currants


Preheat oven to 350°F. Process the almonds (or cashews) in the food processor until becomes a butter. In a large bowl, mix flour and baking powder.

In a medium bowl, mix applesauce with banana. Add vanilla extract, almond (or cashew) butter, and black currants. Add the mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.

Pour into greased loaf pan. Depending on your oven, bake it for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes clear.

Cool in rack. Remove from pan after 10 minutes.
